Deception is Here to Stay: Part Two

There is always two sides to a coin as the saying goes, and there is always a right and a wrong. The issue I have been writing about over the last few months is deception, because I see it everywhere in places deception shouldn't be found....in the CHURCH.  Listen to the messages coming out from most churches or today and you will discover there is a one sided coin in their paradigm of the scripture.  We used to say about "the last days" that people will invent their own god by making Him up from the scripture they like and ignoring those scriptures they don't.  The problem is you only have a one sided god, you don't take into consideration that God has two sides to Him. It is not spiritually honest to only say God is love, because the scriptures teach if one rejects the love of God, through the message of Jesus Christ, then want remains is the wrath of God.  Now because we have been so conditioned in the church to ignore a God of wrath that nothing makes any sense to us other than talking about God as love...period. Talking about wrath, eternal punishment and hell is, to be quite frank offensive. We don't want to have a message that frightens us, or makes us uncomfortable.  The message of the good news of the cross is that it not only provides us with the message of salvation, it also provides us a protection against the wrath of God.  Doesn't it make sense that in order to appreciate what has been given to you, is to know the other side of that equation and see what you have escaped?  Deception does not what you to know the whole truth, it masks the side of truth that is negative, so that in time that negative side is forgotten and foreign to the message. So what you end up with is only a message that God is love.  Nothing can deter Him from loving you, and in the end all people are loved by God and enter into His kingdom because of it.
You see part of this is truth, God does love you with an everlasting love, but His provision for salvation and entering into His kingodm has one speciifc qualification....Jesus Christ.

You can not escape the provision of the cross that provides us with salvation, and the question then should be asked, what is that salvation from?  We escape the wage of sin which is death, and this is considered the second death, where death never ends....it is an eternal punishment. You see, just saying those words seem foreign to us, why, we don't use them anymore.  However, just because we don't use the words eternal punishment any more, does not change the reality of it's truth. Let's be honest, there was a day people were scared into the kingdom because of their fear of hell, today, since hell is never talked about, we don't need to hurry when considering what to do with God.  After all, if there is no hell, there is no hurry or need for salvation.

You see, deception is rampant in the church today equal to what is happening in the world. Too many voices saying things that are not true, or they at best are half truths.  If you are to keep your spiritual life honest, and on track, you have to be students of the Word of God.  You have to get into a church that preaches the Word, and in a small group that helps you to grow in truth, and helps you to discern the times in which we live.

Don't think all things that claim to be Christian are Christian, today the word Christian has only become a title, it does not mean it stands for the truth....  and that's hard to swallow.

Beware of the word "Christian"....Jesus warned us about it from the parable of the wheat and weeds from Matthew 13 we read:

30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers,  Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.’”

Keeping it honest and truthful....K
