In the News Today

Two news items that caught my attention today.

The first was the announcement out of Libya that Sharia Law would be the prevailing standard of any government structure moving forward in that country. This of course fits in with what the Muslim Brotherhood,( an association of Islamic leaders) wants for all of Muslim countries, however, this will prove to be a major problem for Israel in the future. Many have foreseen this move as the beginning of plot to annihilate Israel by Muslims, as more and more of the countries fall into the hands of the people. 

The second story is the 7.2 earthquake in Turkey, that damaged an area close to the Iranian boarder. Each earthquake is a signal to us to get ourselves ready. It is a sign for each of us to be prepared, to get our households in order, for what is about to come upon the earth. We are only in the early stages of the greatest catastrophes the world has ever known.  That is what the Bible predicted 2000 years ago, and we are living out those predictions today. From Matthew 24 we read:

21For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be

This is what is coming, but we are not hearing this from our spiriutal leaders  This tribulation will begin because the control of the world will come under the control of a global system. That global system will control money by having one standard currency, and it will control governments by a one world economic system that will place all countries on an equal financial basis.  There will be no more third world economies, it will bring everyone to the table equally. This all sounds good, but the downside of this is, it is controlled by the evil one, for one purpose, "to enslave humans to his evil purpose of robbing, stealing and destroying God's beloved creation."

Satan has to counter the freedom of the cross, and he will do so as the world develops these systems in these last days. God will not be out done of course, but the warning is there for us to prepare our lives and our households not to be drawn into the schemes of a global manipulation. I believe every earthquake and every country whose governments are toppled become one more sign that indicates we are closer than ever to the coming of the Messiah.  Take time today, read through some of the prophetic scriptures that will remind you of what is to come, and pray that we be ready both in heart and mind.
