The Day that Changed the World

I remember the first time I heard that a plane flew into the first tower in New York City.  At first, I think we were all shocked that such an accident like this could happen.  When it was known that it was an attack of terror, then the sadness turned to anger, and the country rallied around the theme of "remember 9-11." I wasn't around when Pearl Harbour happened, but I believe it had the same affect on the country, it rallied a country out of it's slumber and into World War 2. America entering that war was the best thing that happened for those fighting Germany and Japan, but it took a tradegy like Pearl Harbour to do it.  I believe the same was true with 9-11, that the Muslim world of terrorism felt the sting of awakening America to action. The event of 9-11 changed everything from the way we do air travel, to the way we look at the world today.  We are no longer the isolated country of safety, the enemy can reach us, and reach us it did on 9-11. It was good for America over the weekend to review the events of 9-11, because Americans have short memories.  They live in the present, and forget about the foundations that were laid in history that formulate the American way of life today.  Take the constitution for example, this document is the foundation by which our government operates.  The Supreme Court was designed to defend this document through the judiciary branch of government, making sure that laws passed by congress are in line with the constitutions perimeters.

History is important, and it is good to remember from which we have come.  When we quote the New Testament and live by it's boundaries, we forget that the New Testament writers were all bound by the Hebrew scriptures. (the Old Testament) Everything you read in the New Testament was based upon the Old, including the model of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross.  When Christians say that the law, or Old Testament is no longer valid, they are cutting off their left arm, not realizing the importance it plays in the formation of our faith in Christ today.  History is important, it lays the foundation for everything we believe as Christians today.   This fall there is a Hebraic Roots Conference being held in Bloomingtion Minnesota where history of the faith will be discussed as it relates to the future of the Church.  The Hebraic Roots of scripture is the history of our faith, and in that history comes valuable insight on who God is, and what God does. This conference is a must for growing Christians concerned about changing their world. Don't miss this conference. www.hebraicrootsconference.com

This is a free conference, but registration is required, please sign up today, and don't miss this conference.

Keeping it honest and truthful...K
