Is There a Personal God?

I remember when I was first introduced to the concept that a person could have a personal relationship with God. Up until then, I was only introduced into the religion of the church structure and the seven sacriments of the Catholic Church.  Nothing wrong with structure and a mission statement, but I had no idea that I could actually have contact and interatction with God Himself. It blew me away, and it started me on a journey that I am still on today, some forty years later. Recently someone asked me to define my relationship with Jesus Christ. It was a great question, because I am not in the habit of putting it into words. However, I thought it an exercise worth giving some time to.

In my relationship with Jesus Christ He has become my goal, my truth, and my worth. Nothing that I say is worth anything, His words are everything, and my objective is to be a conduit for those words. Jesus Christ is my example of leadership, He is compassionate, and merciful, yet, He is a warrior against evil in our society, and the sin in our personal lives. He lives in me to continue the message of the cross, to reach all people with His offer of salvation. His relationship with me reminds me of His soon return, the deception of this age, and the importance of Israel, where He will rule and reign, as King of the Jews, and Savior of the world. He has challenged me to selfless, and concerned for the needs of others, while at the same time to stand my ground in defending the truth of Gospel regardless of the setting. His Word is His bond with me, and I have given my life to teaching others about Him.

Well, as a first draft, not bad.  Jesus is as personal as any friend that I have, and He even likes my humor...(and before you make a joke about my humor, remember He gave it to me in my creation process)

The greatest desire of this personal God, is for you to know Him.  Nothing makes God more pleased than to see His creation turn to Him in faith and make Him Savior and Lord. It was His desire from the very beginning to redeem His creation through the pursuit of love and forgiveness.

There is a personal God to know, and He is available 24/7 to begin a relationship with you.  You won't regret it.

Keeping it honest and truthful....K
