Prophecy In Detail?

Prophecy never tells us all the details, and it is designed that way by God. He gives us enough in forecasting the future to know He is in control, but He leaves some mystery in every prophecy so we will trust Him for the final episode. I have been told by many Christian leaders, primarily pastors, that prophecy is too controversial, so they don't preach much about it. However, this to me has never made much sense. If God's word tells us how this world will end, and the signs predicting the end are revealed, don't you think it is the responsibility of Christian leaders to warn people to trust in God?  Personally, if your pastor is not preaching prophecy at all in a calendar year, I would ask him why?  If prophecy makes up about 1/3 of scripture, why aren't we hearing more about these end times.  A friend of mine called the other day, and said he pulled everything he had out of the stock market because he was fearful of another global economic meltdown. He based it upon his reading of scripture and watching the stock market. Scripture teaches us that there will come a global economy where buying and selling will be controlled by one man, or one system. That person the scriptures calls the Anti-Christ, a world dictator who will be empowered by Satan to do war against the Church and against Israel. You will not be able to buy or sell without a mark.  Jesus Christ, in Revelation 6, opens the first four of the seven seals of judgment which releases the four horseman of the Apocalypse.

White horse: Conquest

Red horse: War

Black horse: Famine

Pale horse: Death

These four will consume the earth, but they are divine judgements on the earth.  This is another disconnect in the church today, we refuse to tell people that there is a divine judgement coming on the earth by God. . The cross has always been our ticket out of God's wrath, but those who refuse it's gracious offer of forgiveness will be subject to His wrath, and the Book of Revelation details how that wrath will take place.  Now, here is another shocker to most Christians. The person in charge of this judgement is the same person who took our judgement of death upon Himself on the cross, this same Lamb of God is orchestrating the judgements in the Book of Revelation.

Why don't we warn people?  Why are we so silent? Biblical prophecy has a general forecast of what is to happen, and it is designed to get us ready for how the details of that prophecy will come about. We know the world will go through the following according to Bible Prophecy.

1. One world monetary system

2. One world dictator

3. israel will be the target of annihilation

4. World famine

5. Relationships will fail, fear will rule

6. Nature will come unglued

7. Pestilence will increase

Luke 21:11

11There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrorsand great signs from heaven.

How these seven will be detailed out is anyone's guess, but we know they will happen. The hour is short, and it's time to take the Bible and read it. Determine in your heart the priority of scripture before you read the newspaper, look at facebook, or your emails.  God is preparing us, but to a large part we are ignoring Him. It is similar to Noahs day, the people were so unaware of any impending disaster, they were shocked when it started to rain.

If your pastor is not warning, or teaching on the prophecy of scripture starting with Israel, and all the signs Jesus mentions in Matthew 24 or Luke 21,  ask him why? Show him the scriptures and ask him why he is not preaching on these signs?

I would be interested in his response.

Keeping it honest and truthful.....K

Jan Markell has been warning the Church for many years on being prepared. Her conferences are held every year in the Twin Ciites where the issues of prophecy are discussed. Her conference this year is October 7-8 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie Minnesota, where Joel Rosenberg will be speaking. Here is a clip from when Joel was at this conference a few years ago.
