Children Shall Rule Over Them

Isaiah 3:4

And I will make boys their princes,
and infants shall rule over them.

This is a verse that describes the dilemma nations face who have moved away from the Lord and His principles. People will allow leaders to lead them who are not qualified to lead.  They do not have the wisdom to seek the Lord for His input into the decisions leaders have to make in order to govern people with moral values.  This compromise can be seen in our political leadership.  We have elected representatives that are simply like children when it comes to leadership.  This is one of the reasons Washington is in gridlock and nothing moves forward.  Washington bails out rich executives on Wall Street at the expense of Americans losing their homes, and their livelihoods.  This isn't good leadership, it's immature, inexperienced leaders that can are facing problems beyond their pay grade.

The church has the same problem. We have leadership in the pulpit with more of the culture in their heart, than they do the Lord. Why is this such a problem?  Children can not lead, they do not have enough experience with life to be able to lead.  They do not know enough about themselves let alone think they can lead others. They do not have the wisdom to discern the dangers of life, they can not warn on matters  they know nothing about.  When the prophet Ezekiel talked about the watchman who is on the wall warning about impending danger, because he is a leader who knows what impending danger looks like.

So you can see how this problem with leadership can affect a nation, or a church. Let's be careful about who we allow the privilege of leading us.  Leaders need to be full of wisdom and the Holy Spirit to be the kind of leader who is mature enough to lead others.

Keeping it honest and truthfull.....K
