Gifts That Guide the Church

In the news and on social media, I have seen an uptick in Christians abandoning Israel and siding with the Palestinians. Palestinians are important to God, as all people are, so I don’t want to be disparaging to any group. However, God chose a people that would remain His people forever, and that will never change.
He chose the Jews to begin a process into play that eventually brought to the world a Messiah, a Savior. That Savior was Jewish, a fulfillment of the prophecy of Abraham that the whole world would be blessed because of his people. When people choose to be antisemitic, it is more than just ignorance … it is an evil posture that desires the annihilation of the Jewish nation. People of the world have no clue what they are supporting, they are just following the hate of Satan for Israel. However, Christians should never abandon Israel, because God said they would be His people forever. God will never abandon His people, and neither should we.
Jereimah 31:36 I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!
The Holy Spirit gives gifts to the Church. Apostles … those sent, Prophets … those who warn, Teachers … those who instruct, Miracles … the supernatural, Healing … those who restore, Helping … through mercy, Leadership … those who lead others, and Unknown Languages … praying in the Spirit. No where does it suggest these gifts were replaced or removed. God does not change; therefore, the same gifts given to the Church that the Apostle Paul wrote about are the same gifts for us today. Nothing has changed. However, the only change is our resistance to allowing the Holy Spirit to operate these gifts in the Church. One example is the shift of support for Israel by Christians. If the gifts of the Holy Spirit were operating, this could not happen. God says the Jews are His People forever, and Christians who abandon Israel are abandoning God. Larry Kutzler, Facebook Post
It is clear why Christians should never abandon Israel. Antisemitism in the Church should never happen, ever. Why? Look at those Gifts again. They were given to help guide and instruct the Church to minister to one another. If the Holy Spirit were given the opportunity to exercise these Gifts in the Church, He would use these Gifts to correct and warn believers, encouraging them to surrender to God, and live in the pursue of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit would never encourage people to be antisemitic or abandon Israel. Many Churches have abandoned the ministry of the Holy Spirit; therefore, they have no ability to withstand the pressure to acquiesces to antisemitism. This is not a political issue … it is an issue of knowing and trusting what God says about Israel. He will not abandon her, nor will He support a Church that does.
God is clear about Israel. He called Israel His treasured possession. He called them His people forever.
Deuteronomy 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto Himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
2 Samuel 7:24 You made Israel your very own people forever, and you, O Lord, became their God.
Christians who abandon Israel are abandoning God.
