Will Faith Be Found on Earth?

This is a statement made by Jesus:
Luke 18:8 Will the Son of man find faith on earth when He comes.
So, I asked myself, “Will faith be harder to find at the time of His return? There was a reason Jesus posed this question, and I believe it was because this woman as so persistent, she represented a faith that would not give up. It was immediately after the parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge … an appropriate challenge to all of us. Will we persist in faith?
When we read in Hebrews 11, the Great Faith Chapter, we find faith very different from what most of us experience. One of the seminal statements in this Chapter is:
Hebrews 11:6 Now without faith it is impossible to please God. Since the one who draws nearer to Him must believe that He exists, and that He rewards those who seek Him
So, what is it about faith that pleases Him? This Verse answers my question. God wants us to know He exists … the only way this is possible is to believe that He does. In our world where the facts prove reality, faith seems too unbelievable. Yet, in Hebrews 11, the facts do prove that faith does have an enormous outcome. By faith Noah built an ark, saving his family and the animal kingdom. Abraham left his homeland by faith, not knowing where he was going, but because of his faith to believe God, Israel and the Jewish people were born. His wife Sarah, who was passed the childbearing age, gave birth to Isaac … all by faith. The Jewish people were a product of faith.
Faith in a Person
Jesus Christ entered this world as an unknown, but His arrival was the single most important event in human history. It was Jesus who demonstrated faith by the healing the multitudes, and proved He had control over evil by casting out demons. He came into the world to show the world that God does exist … He was the embodiment of God as proof. Jesus said:
John 14:9 When you see Me, you see the Father.
Of course it takes faith to believe in what Jesus said, but He told the skeptics:
John 10:37-38 Do not believe Me unless I do the works of My Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.
When Jesus died and rose again from the grave, people still would not believe in His Resurrection. Even His Disciples had a hard time believing what they were witnessing when they saw Jesus alive. Faith is not easy, but pursuing the truth in what faith represents will result in knowing God.
Final Thoughts
Going back to the statement of Jesus, “Will the Son of man find faith on earth when He comes?” That is a statement that challenges me. Remember, without faith it is impossible to please God, so do I have the kind of faith that pleases God? I will conclude by saying if you believe in Jesus as your Savior and Lord, then yes, your faith pleases God. Faith is not easy, but it delivers a God size answer to life.
